Tim Garbutt – Managing Director
Tim has over 25 years sports marketing experience. His experience with hockey and golf events is impressive, both at the grassroots and professional level. On the world stage, Tim was the General Manager of the most successful World Junior Hockey Championship in history, the 2012 event that was held in Edmonton/Calgary. He also has extensive experience in running charitable events such as the Gordie Howe CARES Pro-Am (Calgary), and the Alzheimer’s Face Off Pro-Am (Edmonton) generating over $2.5 Million for Alzheimer’s each year. In addition, Tim has organized the 2019 Canucks Autism Network Pro-Am (Vancouver).
At the grassroots level, Tim has an expertise of creating community events that deliver against sponsor objectives, while at the same time providing value to local amateur sport organizations and incredible and unique experiences for young athletes. A perfect example of this is the ATB WHL Hockey Clinics, which have been running in Alberta for the past 10 years.
Tim’s organizational and leadership skills have made him a valuable asset for any event that he has worked on.
